Top-Five Must-Have is a mash-up two distinct sets of user-made YouTube videos: people reviewing MAC makeup brushes and people expressing their opinions about a controversial immigration law. Intercutting the videos allowed me to contrast their topics, tease out their similarities, and weave conversation out of people who exist in distinct physical, political cultural, and epistemological spaces.
